The benefits of a Pushchair

Pushchairs

There is no two ways about it - a newborn baby turns your life upside down. However, when you begin to get to grips with the initial upheaval  that a newborn brings, you will want to start to reclaim some of your own life, and you will want to show your baby off to your friends and relatives. To do this you're going to need something to take the baby out in.

You may start off carrying the baby in a carry cot but you will soon find that they put on weight and get too heavy to carry for anything but the shoretest distances. You'll then need a buggy or a push chair.

A push-chair will allow you to get out and about and it will mean that you can do so without having to pay someone to look after your baby. It should also help you to improve your fitness - pushing a buggy is fun and you may find that you go for long walks.

Taking your baby out in a buggy is a great way to improve your fitness level after  pregnancy.

It is quite likely that you're going to be a bit more stressy than normal because of a lack of sleep and the additional work required with a newborn baby. Getting outside in the fresh air and exercising will help you to reduce your stress levels.

Pushing a stroller is a much better workout than just walking. Because of this you may find that your fitness levels come back sooner than you would otherwise have expected. The extra weight that you put on during pregnancy will also come off much faster.

Make sure that the buggy you choose provides adequate protection for your child, from the weather. The fresh air will do you both you a lot of good, so long as the baby doesn't get too hot in summer or too cold in winter.

There are lots of different strollers available to buy. Some models are designed specifically for people who want to improve their fitness. These buggies provide better stability so that you can push your baby around much faster. These extra design points can make the pushchair more expensive, so make sure you require them, before you buy.

A lot of Mothers find that the motion of the push-chair soothes the baby and helps him to sleep. This can be quite a bonus. You get some fresh air and can exercise in peace whilst your child catches up on some sleep.

Whatever push chair you decide to buy, shop around. There are often end of season sales where you could save a lot of money. You could also consider buying second hand.
